Holy crap, it’s 2014! Welcome to the future, everyone! We are a year closer to hoverboards, and that is just too darn exciting.

We’re going to take a couple of days off while we write our best of post, because we were too lazy to do it in 2013. But that is sooooo last year!

Dear me, I’ve been rather slack on here lately. What’s meant to be a ‘post-a-day’ schedule has been downgraded into a ‘post any other day, maybe?’ schedule. But there is a good-ish reason for it! As much as I’d like it to be, either/or is not my full-time job (shocking, I know), and at the moment, the real-world is severely limiting the amount of time I can spend checking out new tunes for you fine folk. As such, for the next two weeks or so, posts will be very sporadic on here.

Regular programming will resume sometime after this, so fear not, gentle readers! We are going nowhere.

One day, I attempted to avoid being lazy and came to the conclusion that writing about full albums is really hard! It takes me quite a while to find an album where I agree with the majority of the tunes on it, which means you, as our lovely readers (reader?) has to suffer through protracted gaps of inexcusable nothingness before some gold arrives. Well, no more!

I am starting a new thing on here called Something I Heard Today, which will appear every day (hopefully). In it, you’ll hear a single song that I’ve heard or listened to during the day. The best part is, it could be anything! Pop, classical, rock, alternate, orchestral score, video game music: anything and everything will be appearing. And because they’re single songs, they’re bite sized and easier to check out as well!

If, for some reason, you’re still checking out this site, you may have noticed our brand new domain name: either-or.net. We’ve also migrated to a faster and more stable server. All we need now is content, which I’m sure will come through. Eventually.

Also, happy belated new year!

Also, we’re now using Disqus for commenting. Take THAT, spam robots!

Howdy everyone,

Due to some recent, family-related matters, posts by myself may be highly sporadic for a little while. I do hope to come back soon with some great new music for you all, but for the time being, I will be a little distant.

Cheers

…for four weeks. I shall be winging my way around the US of A in that time and will not have any time to do updates for you all. Not to worry though, we’re not going away for good or anything. There shall be content as soon as I return (or rather, as soon as the jet lag is dealt with). Now, my comrade, Hugh, could come along right now and post his little kiester away, to completely remove the validity of this news post, but I doubt that’ll happen! (*cough* Post some stuff, Hugh! *cough cough*)

See you soon!

I bet you didn’t even notice we were gone. To which I say: shame on you! I hope you keep better watch on more important things.

Anyhoo, the point is, we are back and kicking! Relatively. Our old host went down the gurgler, but I’ve resuscitated the site and all its posts, thanks to our good friend, kol. We are not reliant on his server anymore though, so there shouldn’t be any extended downtime as I am hosting it myself. Also, we got a fancy domain name too! Having said that, the domain and the even newer hosting aren’t quite ready, so you’ll have to make do with another subdomain.

either/or is back again, and we’ve got a new theme. I have built this from the ground up with the assistance of Dan from Logic & Trick to integrate it with WordPress. I hope you like it! If you have suggestions, please don’t hesitate to pass them along: this is the first time I’ve done a WordPress theme and I’m afraid that I’m a total newbie at it. As well as that, let me know if you find any bugs.

With any luck, we might be just a tad bit more frequent with our posts, but there’s no guarantees! Good music doesn’t just float by every day, y’know. As usual, if you have any music you think we’d like, or like to promote (if we like it, that is), then feel free to post a comment on this post (we will have a proper email system up eventually).

In the meantime, welcome and enjoy! Hugh and I hope to keep you filled to brim with good, wholesome tunes.

I’m going to break ranks here, fine ladies and gentlemen, and hi-jack either/or for my own personal means. I can hear the collective gasps already! Not to worry though, it is music related.

As you probably do not know, I’ve been engaged in a University course for the best part of 3 years now. I’ve just finished my major project, which is an animated music video for the Foo Fighters song, Come Alive. Anyhoo, I thought you guys might like to see it, so you can check it out here.

A warning though: this video contains ghosts, the devil and licensed music. :O

Oh, and Scrub Studios is just a little company name I made up to brand all my work in. Enjoy!
