MTV is a shadow of its former, trailblazing self, and what better way to illustrate that than with this haunting, live performance of All Apologies? I really don’t get how a format that once featured Paul McCartney and Nirvana could then go on to feature such illustrious artists as Korn and Lil Wayne, but what do I know about music, eh?
This version of All Apologies remains my all-time favourite tune by Nirvana. It is more heartfelt and sombre than the album version, but it retains the cynicism and mysticism of the original quite wonderfully.
