I’m tentatively hosting this tune on our own servers, mainly because there is literally no information about this outfit anywhere. The only reference I found to them was an old Triple J playlist, and they appear to have spelt the name incorrectly anyway.
Some background: in an earlier life, I worked in retail and heard the Fiasko’s music coming from a small hi-fi in the warehouse area of the store. I enquired about the music, and one of the storeroom folks informed me that it was the music of his flatmate. He subsequently lent me an EP and as it was the only copy of it that he knew about, I ripped it to my computer and returned it. And that’s it, that’s all the background I have: I couldn’t tell you the name of the flatmate, nor the person who lent me the CD, so for the time being, I am none the wiser! However, what I do know is that this is some chillingly moody electronic/downtempo and while it may err on the side of repetitive for some, I still think it’s rad.
