I hadn’t heard of Battles before I played the PS3 game LittleBigPlanet (this song is featured in it), and while I did check out a few of their other songs, none of them have captured me as much as this one. Why? Because it’s crazy and weird! It has what I deem to be an industrial feel: a very strong beat with all sorts of effects driven guitar work pulsating in the background. I get the image of huge metal factory, all working in sync. And, I dunno, staffed by gnomes, or something.
