I never expect much out of the Foo Fighters, and as a result, I’m always pleasantly surprised whenever I hear another of their albums. They seem genuinely passionate about producing good, honest music, and I absolutely love them for that. Summer’s End comes from 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, and while the Foos themselves don’t seem overly fond of it (to my knowledge, they’ve never played it live), I sure as heck love it. Sprinkled with some good old fashioned country rock and Dave Grohl’s love of Virginia, it’s a fun tune and one of my favourite from the group. What more could you ask for?
