Man, I could barely find any information about Tessitura. Though Wikipedia says that Tessitura “generally describes the most musically acceptable and comfortable range for a given singer or, less frequently, musical instrument” – wait a minute that’s not right. Well, technically it is, but it’s not exactly what I was looking for.
Some random Googling tells me that it’s a one-man band fronted by a fellow called Jonathan Williams, who runs a Cincinnati-based recording studio by the name of Cedar Sound Studio. And that’s it. Point is, this song is great: it’s got a psychedelic/shoegazing aesthetic about it, and it’s catchy as heck.
