Starting off a new year is always cause for good things. Fresh starts and new opportunities and all that malarkey. So what better way to kick off 2013 than with either/or’s perennial favourite, Elliott Smith? As we’ve mentioned so many times before, we named the blog after his work: we’re pretty big fans!
This song feels like it could almost be about turning over a new leaf, but as with all of Elliott’s work, it’s open to multiple reasons. However, for the purposes of making this post work, let’s go with that interpretation, ok??? Aside from that, it’s wonderfully bittersweet, and elegant and… aww heck, we love you Elliott!
