4AD, you sure know how to twang my strings, if you know what I mean. Though I’m not entirely sure what I mean by that… my point is, they’re constantly onto a bunch of winners. Peppy, but beautifully softly spoken, this is a wonderful tune that brings to mind a bit of She & Him, Fleetwood Mac and Neko Case (the latter of whom appears as a guest on this album). Considering that those three artists have appeared on this site before, it’s no small wonder that I’m totally in love right now.
